You should be very wary of any treatment method promoted as permanent.

We know that we can give you results but we also know that by the nature of the reasons for these disfiguring veins, you should plan to treat both new and recurring patches or areas of veins every few years if not every year. There really is no “once-off” treatment. Be suspicious of any therapist that states they will only have to treat you “now and never again.”

The frequency of repeat maintenance treatments will vary enormously from person to person but the average case should plan to do maintenance treatments about every 1 to 2 years. In most cases Dr Retief recommends that you have 1 or 2 “touch-up”, “clean-up” maintenance treatments every winter between April and August. Fortunately the amount of work required then is usually much, much less than the initial program of treatments.
